Haikus

Flowers fade away

With cold night’s oppressive dew

New blooms burst at dawn

Sunshine gives way as

Twilight signals the night’s rest

The world is asleep

Clouds gather, rain falls

Softly showering as the

Ground takes in its drink

Hannah is awake

She needs to go to sleep now

For school is at stake

Bill is working hard

Earning a fair day’s pay, but

It keeps him away

So much for Haikus

Will write when mind is anew

But now I will snooze
