I am a Christian. Since we are not able to see God in a physical way, I believe Jesus came to show us what God is like. I believe the Bible is a collection of records, which people wrote, of their encounters with the supernatural. I believe within the Bible are prophecies about Jesus, which taken at face value, support the validity of Jesus’ claim to be the Jewish Messiah. I believe and have experienced that when one places their trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus, one experiences a rebirth of sorts, possessing the very life of God within themselves. This is a highly personalized experience, and therefore not provable by science, yet experienced in a very real way by millions of believers around the world.
It is understandable why some question how a person like me can believe in something they cannot see. Yet, the fact that people like me do believe and have a new life thriving on the inside of them is a proof in its own right that you, as a nonbeliever, are looking into this Christian experience from the outside and therefore are unable to know. Perhaps as you read some of these posts and articles, your confidence will grow in this Jesus who claimed to be before the beginning of time.
